Artist Statement

Work is processing and life processes; material, information, or ideas. Processing of ideas and information leads to abstraction, evolution, refining, and obscuring. As materials are processed, forms evolve and surface qualities change. Information is collected, organized, reinterpreted, re-presented, coded, distilled, translated, passed on, and published.

This work is about the abstraction and obscuring that results from the unfathomable over abundance of information and material processing by people. It creates a landscape composed of objects, surfaces, and surroundings covered in illegible information; a post-consumer information-age baroque.
